vintage gold dress Vintage Gold Metallic Brocade Evening Coat 1960s Ladies Size MediumThis is a very rich looking vintage evening coat featuring a metallic gold brocade fabric. The fabric is woven with a paisley and foliate pattern in gold, with silver accents, against a deep purple silk background that almost appears black due to the contrast with the gold. This is a very rich looking vintage evening coat featuring a metallic gold brocade fabric. The fabric is woven with a paisley and foliate pattern in gold, with silver accents, against a deep purple silk background that almost appears black due to the contrast with the gold. I believe that it dates to the 1960s - it looks very much like something that one of the beautiful people would have worn. It did come from a wealthy estate. The fabric looks to me to have probably originated in India or a neighbouring country. The coat has no collar, an open neckline and 3/4 length sleeves that have padded “puff” caps. The coat is lined with a very nice quality pearl white satin fabric. The coat closes with four covered buttons and loops located at the waistline - the skirt is open except for fabric overlap. It is tailored to accent the waist and then flare widely to the hemline.

Shoulders: 14” across from one shoulder seam to the other shoulder seam - note that the shoulder cap extends into the sleeve cap

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/4”
Bust: 36” around

Length: 53”
Condition: It is in excellent condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains, odours or other defect.
This is a fabulous 60s era evening coat - gorgeous fabric, classy evening wear!
